Home Cure for Scabies! This treatment is as simple as pouring 1/2 - 1 cup of bleach into a full bathtub of warm water, soaking for 10 minutes, showering or rinsing off with fresh water, and applying coconut oil to the skin to prevent dryness. Rinsing off is an important step as bleach can irritate the skin. Repeat daily up to a week to be sure the mites are gone. Results are almost immediate! Overnight, you will see the rash drying up. Swimming in a chlorinated swimming pool is another way to do this treatment. Note: I recommend starting with 1/2 cup since most bleach is concentrated now. Also, use a quality brand you can trust like Clorox. Mop all floors with 1/2 cup of bleach mixed into a bucket of water. Remove all rugs from the house until scabies are eliminated. Continue to wash and dry all bed linens, etc. Pets can be washed in a similar manner as people. Wash pet beds as well. If the problem is on-going, consider if there could be an outside source of mites, such as a shed in which wild animals may live in or around. If so, you may have to spray full strength bleach in that area with a garden sprayer. This treatment is also effective on Poison Ivy, Bee & Insect stings, and Jelly Fish stings. Life guards at the beach will tell you to soak in a swimming pool after a jelly fish sting! It gives immediate relief. The National Ezcema organization recommends this type of bath for eczema relief as well. Here's how to get the info: Go to www.nationalezcema.org, click on "treatments", "bathing", "types of baths", "bleach bath". For another reference see; The Scabies Nightmare by Dr. Wendy - HubPages at drwendy.hubpages.com Some people have had success using the tanning bed to destroy scabies by heat since they live just under the skin. This will require daily tanning for a week or two. Information on this website is based on my beliefs but is not intended to be medical advice. If you need medical assistance please see your physician.
